Ower glass" Lower Antelope Canyon by Chelsea Stark www.chelseastarkphotography.com

Via Flickr:
The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or "Spiral Rock Arches." Many years ago, herds of Pronghorn Antelope roamed freely in and around the canyon, which explains the English name.

Upper Falls 1 Yosemite National Park

Upper Falls: The 1,430-foot (440 m) plunge alone is among the twenty highest waterfalls in the world. Trails from the valley floor and down from other park areas outside the valley lead to both the top and base of Upper Yosemite Falls. The upper fall is formed by the swift waters of Yosemite Creek, which, after meandering through Eagle Creek Meadow, hurl themselves over the edge of a hanging valley in a spectacular and deafening show of force.

Tranquil falls"Yosemite National Park

Via Flickr:
Yosemite Falls is the highest measured waterfall in North America. Located in Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada of California, it is a major attraction in the park, especially in late spring when the water flow is at its peak.
The total 2,425 feet (739 m) from the top of the upper falls to the base of the lower falls[1] qualifies Yosemite Falls as the sixth highest waterfall in the world, though with the recent discovery of Gocta Cataracts, it appears on some lists as seventh.

Mary Colter designed the Watch Tower to offer visitors "the widest possible view of the Grand Canyon." It was built by Fred Harvey and the Santa Fe Railroad and opened to the public in 1933. The Watch Tower is found at Desert View Point on the East side of the Grand Canyon. If you are already in the area, don't miss touring this neat historical tower. The paths are wide leading to the watch tower and you have wonderful views from both inside and outside of the Grand Canyon. You will make your way past the bathrooms and general store to your right.
The Watch Tower is attached to a gift shop, you can view the inside of the watch tower by walking through the gift shop and up the stairs.Inside the Watch Tower you'll find 4 sets of winding stairs that each lead to a circular room with views of the canyon.

Great white throne" ,Zion National Park, ChelseaStarkhttp://www.chelseastarkphotography.com

Via Flickr:
The Great White Throne is a highlight of Zion National Park, itself a world-class showplace of sandstone. The whole edifice consists of the Navajo Sandstone, one of the world's largest sandstone bodies. One of the striking things about the Great White Throne is that while its top is white, its base is red. It is thought that once upon a time the Navajo was a supergiant-class reservoir of petroleum. As the sandstone began to be exposed through erosion, however, the oil and gas escaped, along the way erasing the red sandstone pigments through chemical reduction. This would have been during Cretaceous time, when the atmosphere was extremely high in carbon dioxide compared to today. Whether the massive oxidation of the Navajo oil reservoir and others like it influenced the global atmosphere is an intriguing research problem.

California sea lion

Seal ©ChelseaStark http://www.chelseastarkphotography.com by chelseastarkphotography.com
California sea lion, a photo by chelseastarkphotography.com on Flickr.Via Flickr:California sea lions are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and noisy barking. Their color ranges from chocolate brown in males to a lighter, golden brown in females. Males reach 850 pounds (390 kg) and seven feet (2.1 m) in length. Females grow to 220 pounds (110 kg) and up to six feet (1.8 m) in length. They have a "dog-like" face, and at around five years of age, males develop a bony bump on top of their skull called a sagittal crest. The top of a male's head often gets lighter in color with age. These members of the otariid or walking seal family have external ear flaps and large flippers that they use to "walk" on land. The trained "seals" in zoos and aquariums are usually California sea lions.

Scarface"  Yellowstone National Park a photo by chelseastarkphotography.com on Flickr.Via Flickr:Bears may be seen in Yellowstone March through November. Yellowstone is one of the only areas south of Canada that still has large grizzly bear populations. In 2007, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that the Greater Yellowstone Area grizzly bear population segment had recovered sufficient numbers and distribution to be removed from the threatened-species list. In 2009, the delisting ruling was overturned and the population was returned to the threatened-species list; management continues under the 2006 revision of the recovery plan. Grizzly bears are usually seen in the open areas. Look for black bears along the edges of trees in the Lamar and Hayden valleys, or among the trees near Mammoth and Tower.

The male giant panda is slightly larger and heavier than the female. The giant panda has a relatively large head and large, muscular jaws, while its molars and premolar teeth are wider and flatter than those of other bears, allowing it to grind bamboo. The dance of the peacock

"peacock" ©ChelseaStark http://www.chelseastarkphotography.com by chelseastarkphotography.com
"peacock" , a photo by chelseastarkphotography.com on Flickr.Via Flickr:The peacock is first mentioned in the Bible in the time of Solomon. He used to send his vessels to distant countries, and they came back once in three years, "bringing gold, and silver, and ivory, and apes, and peacocks." Solomon was the richest among all the kings that the Bible tells us about. When he first became king God spoke to him in a dream, and told him to ask for any thing he wished. If God should speak so to you, what would you ask for?
Solomon did not pray that God would make him rich, or that he would give him health, or let him live a great many years on the earth; but he said, "I am a little child, I know not how to go out or come in. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart." Then God was pleased with what he asked, and besides giving him great wisdom, he gave him also riches and honor. He had forty thousand horses, and silver and gold in abundance. All the vessels used in his house were of gold, because silver was not good enough; it was "as stones" for plenty, and was "nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon." In the second chapter of Ecclesiastes, Solomon himself speaks of his riches, and after telling us of some of his treasures, he says: "Whatsoever my eyes desired I kept not from them; I withheld not my heart from any joy." Perhaps you think he must have been perfectly happy, if any man in this world ever was; but what does he say? "All is vanity and vexation of spirit." This does not sound much like being contented. No, dear child, these are not the things that make us happy; nothing but the true love of God in the heart can do this.
There are many peacocks in India, and large flocks of them are sometimes seen around the temples; they also live among the bushes near the banks of rivers. They sometimes rest on high trees, but always make their nests on the ground, under the shrubs.
